Radon
Radon is a radioactive, colorless, odorless noble gas formed naturally as uranium and thorium decay in rocks and soil. It can seep into buildings and accumulate indoors; inhaling radon and its radioactive decay products increases the risk of lung cancer. Because it cannot be detected by the senses, homes can be tested and high levels reduced with ventilation or other mitigation methods.
