Tungsten is a transition metal from the periodic table. It is a grayish-white metal that is relatively rare in nature. Tungsten has a wide range of industrial applications, including the production of alloys, wear-resistant tools and components for the aerospace industry. It is also used to make electrodes, lightbulbs and X-ray tubes.
